Dudekula Chaman, a key aide of slain Telugu Desam leader Paritala Ravi has decided work for the Telugu Desam in Anantapur district. Chaman, along with the Raptadu Telugu Desam MLA, Ms Paritala Sunita, met the party chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday and expressed his desire to work for the party.
Considered a key ally of Paritala Ravi in all his activities, factionist Chaman, a native of Anantapur, went underground after Ravi was shot dead in Anantapur in 2005 and surfaced recently. “I was in the TD and will continue to be in it. I met Mr Naidu along with Ms Sunita and expressed my desire to take active part. He asked me to take rest for a few days and promised to find a suitable role for me,” Chaman said. Rumours were agog that Chaman might join YSR Congress. He even said that he would take a decision on which party to join after consulting his well wishers.
