People can afford to pay hiked power bills: Botsa

Would there be some training centers to train our politicians on how to speak in front of media, there would not be so many controversies in the country. But alas, there is not a single institute to get trained themselves. Of all, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana, badly need such training. His previous statement about Delhi gang rape case, which draws protests from all over forces him to withdraw it.

This time speaking on the hike in the power tariff bills in the state, he said “People now are earning enough money that makes them afford to pay the hiked power bills. Their income levels have grown up and hence opposition parties need not to make hue and cry over this issue. More over, we are not putting any extra burden on the people. When compared to other states in the country, it is very minimal. We have not made any promises in our 2009 election manifesto about continuing the existing power tariff forever. Yes, we have promised it in year 2004 manifesto and we kept our promise, but surely not in the 2009 manifesto. People should be aware that the opposition parties are misguiding them quoting our previous election manifesto.”
