Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray continues to remain critical but stable after showing further signs of improvement Friday evening. The improvement in the health condition of the Sena chief also led to normalcy returning to Mumbai and crowds outside his residence Matoshree diminishing. Security, however, continues to remain tight outside Matoshree.
Bal Thackeray has been under the care of a team of specialists from Lilavati Hospital at his home, Matoshree. According to party leaders, an ICU had been created at Matoshree with all emergency equipment and medical and para-medical staff on duty round-the-clock.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena corporators are due to meet at 11 am in Mumbai today to take stock of the situation. Bal Thackeray’s son and Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray is expected to chair the meeting.
