AP Govt's Ramzan gift to 10L families

It is going to be the biggest celebration this festive season for more than 10 lakh families in Andhra Pradesh. The government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to give gift hampers to over 10 lakh BPL Muslim families in the state on the eve of Id-ul-Fitr. The special Ramzan gift is expected to cost the state about Rs 60 crore.

The gift which will be called, "Ramzan Tohfa" will be consisting of 5kg wheat flour, 2kg sugar, 1kg vermicelli and 100 gram ghee. It will be handed over to BPL card holders from Muslim community from July 1 to July 7 through ration shops.
