Chandrababu is pressurizing Centre: TRS MP

The sparks that triggered with the naming of Shamshabad domestic air terminal after late NTR have spread to New Delhi also. TRS MP Vinod Kumar has strongly objected central government’s decision in this regard.

Speaking in the Loksabha he said, “Central government should remember that Hyderabad is now part and parcel of Telangana state. So, it should consult the state government before taking any such decisions. But, it prefers to lend it ears to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. It has changed the domestic terminal name only because of his pressures. We are strongly condemning the Centre’s decision. Telangana state Assembly also has passed a resolution opposing the name change. So, I demand the central government to revoke its decision immediately.”

Although, Hyderabad belongs to Telangana state, TRS MP should remember it is a common capital for both states till next nine and half years. So, his claims on Hyderabad airport are not viable. Moreover, Centre has not changed the present name of Shamshabad airport. It gives NTR name to domestic terminal only, as early it was used to have the same name when the airport was operating from Begumpeta.

Next, Vinod’s alleges that Chandrababu Naidu pressurized the Centre for this purpose. If, he could pressurize the Centre, he would insisted it to release the funds promised to the state, obliges it to clear the pending projects to the state, would have got special status to the state long ago. But, nothing such things happened till now. So, it is absurd to say that Centre is succumbed to his pressures. It allows naming of the domestic terminal after late NTR only because it is justified. If, Chandrababu demands to name it after some other eminent person of AP state, definitely Centre would reject his appeal. So, it is not wise to create controversy on this issue.
