Place a layer of the fine-grained salt onto greaseproof paper, plug in your iron and gently press it over the salt, ironing like you would iron a shirt. The dirty bits would be removed once you do this.
Have you ever wondered how to unclog your sinks or treat your pipes? This is one easy solution, pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of fine-grained salt into your clogged sink, let its action occur, then rinse thoroughly with hot water.
For a clean cutting board cover it with bleach and salt. Scrub the board with a stiff brush and rinse with hot water. Repeat if needed.
The thought of having stains on your favourite clothes is quite frightening. For sweat stains, rub some warm salt water on the fabric. For blood stains, soak the fabric in cold salt water, then wash in hot soapy water. If the bloodstain is still there, boil the fabric.
All of us hate it when we get those ugly looking water marks on our tables left from glasses or bottles. Make them disappear by mixing 1 teaspoon salt with a few drops of water to form a paste. Gently rub the paste onto the ring mark with a soft cloth or sponge. Then restore the luster of the wood with furniture polish.
Salt is very effective against grease stains. Sprinkle the stain with a generous quantity of salt, and let it work its magic for 24 hours. Scrub with soap before putting it through the washing machine on the usual cycle.
