Earlier, TDP and BJP of Telangana state have lodged a complaint with state chief election officer Banwar Lal about removing around 13 lakh voters’ names from the voters’ lists in Grater Hyderabad limits by the TRS government. Now, Congress party also makes similar complaint against the TRS government. State PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy alleges that TRS government is planning to remove nearly 17 lakh voters’ names from the voters’ lists in GHMC limits, mainly of people with Andhra origins.
The statement government is gearing to remove nearly 30, 000 voters’ names from the lists in Sanath Nagar constituency alone, alleges Uttam Kumar Reddy. He alleges that the TRS government is reorganizing the wards in such a way that it can win the GHMC elections.
He said GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar is working like a TRS agent in removing the voters’ lists. Uttam Kumar Reddy asked the Elections Officer to take stringent action against him and the TRS government for taking liberty in removing voters’ names from the lists without its knowledge or permission.
