TDP-BJP enters into poll alliance

At last, amid facing protests from regional leaders of both parties, TDP and BJP strike a deal on poll alliance. TDP President Chandrababu and BJP senior leader Prakash Jawadekar jointly holds press meet today afternoon to announce this news. TDP has given 8MP and 47 Assembly seats in Telangana, 5 MP and 15 Assembly seats in Seemandhra to BJP. Chandrababu said that TDP candidates’ list will be released in a day or two.
However, BJP Telangana state president and the 8 districts presidents of the party have skipped the meeting. Kishan Reddy is said to be refused to attend the joint press meet with Chandrababu Naidu. Jawadekar said that he couldn’t attend the meeting due to some other reasons.
Speaking to media Chandrababu said, “I know that some people have to lose in both parties because of the alliance, but they should understand the situation and co-operate with us for our party, state and country sake. Our country and state is badly affected during 10 years of Congress ruling. Especially, our state has been pushed into miserable position with bifurcation. Both regions badly need stable and efficient governments. Unless, we have good co-operation between state and central governments, we can’t overcome these problems. I have thoroughly discussed with BJP high command over all the issues related to both states and entered into poll alliance with it only after getting firm assurance from it for extending full co-operation to reconstruct Andhra and Telangana states. I am quite confident that NDA alliance will 300 plus seats in the elections and come to power with thumping majority.”
However, the way T-BJP leaders are fuming on TDP makes ever y one suspect whether they will co-operate with it at all or not?
