The Samaikyandhra agitations intensified after they were coupled with electrical employees’ strike, where as both state and Central governments are expecting them to end their strike any moment. The alarming situation of Sothern states power supply due to electrical employees strike has woke-up the Center finally to heed the two month long agitations. An emergency meeting of the Union Cabinet also has been summoned today to deal with the situation.
These developments not only woke-up the Central government but also the T-Congress leaders as well. Seeing the extreme pressures on their high command, they also have decided to put certain pressure on their high command to stop it from bowing to Samaikya pressures. Hence, a T-Congress leaders’ meeting held at Minister K.Jana Reddy’s house yesterday has chalked out an action plan to maintain constant pressure on the high command.
They have decided to conduct victory meetings to commemorate the formation of Telangana state from 18th of this month in the 9 districts in Telangana region and a huge meeting at Hyderabad at the end of the 10 days of victory meetings. However, it is described to claim the credit of achieving Telangana state for the Congress party, where as it is now being credited into TRS account.
However, their plan to conduct these meetings for celebrating Telangana state formation is an attempt to remind their high command that it can’t go back on its decision now. The T-Congress leaders are playing emotional cards to firmly hold their high command. Though they understood that their high command won’t go back on its decision, they fear the immense pressures it is facing now may force it to prolong its decision. So, they are planning to fix their high command with its commitment by conducting the victory meetings, otherwise they would have celebrated the victory two months ago, when Telangana state formation was announced by their party.
