A woman from Karnal, who had just lost her husband, urged Sushma Swaraj on Twitter to help her son in the US get an Indian visa. Despite it being a holiday, Sushma Swaraj not only replied to her but also made sure that this issue was resolved at the earliest. On Tuesday morning, Sarita Takru whose husband died the day before, tweeted to the minister asking for her help to get an Indian visa for her only son Abhai Kaul in the US, so that he could reach in time for the cremation. On noticing Takru's tweet, Swaraj asked for her son's phone number so that she could extend help. Thanks to her quick response, a son was able to get the visa in the nick of time to attend his father’s funeral. She took the matter into her own hands, and kept the mother updated about the developments. It was another one of the instances where the minister has won people's hearts for taking time out from her busy schedule to attend to indian's needs.
