PRP MLAs to find place in Cabinet

The Congress Central leadership has hinted that the state Cabinet will be expanded by the end of June to accommodate two Praja Rajyam MLAs besides a couple of Congress MLAs. The Congress general secretary in-charge of state affairs, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, who has gone on a trip to the US and China will return by June 25. After that Mr Azad will be available for discussions with the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, on whom to include in the Cabinet.
However, a sufficient indication was made available to the PR leaders by Mr Azad who has promised to accommodate two MLAs in the Cabinet. He has also told them that several Congress MLAs from Assembly and Legislative Council are seeking to be included in the Cabinet. There might not be a reshuffle of the Cabinet like dropping of ministers and to accommodate some more. “What can we do? If we remove any minister he will join Mr Jagan’s camp,” Mr Azad seems to have told. But there is a demand from some quarters to remove ministers who have been maintaining a good rapport with Mr Jagan. The former minister, Mr Palvai Govardhan Reddy, had made a representation to remove Mr Komatireddy Venkata Reddy from the Cabinet due to his closeness with Mr Jagan.
