While, the political parties in the state hits the roads protesting against the recent hike in power tariff, some ministers in the congress government openly express their anguish and unhappiness for the hike.
Endowment Minister Rama Chandrayya has written a letter to PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana, expressing his unhappiness on this decision. He also warns him that it will affect the party in upcoming elections.
MP Palwai Govardhan Reddy also opines that CM’s decision is going to leave its adverse affects on the party in the upcoming elections.
Health Minister DL Ravindra Reddy, who often grabs a chance like this to poke Kiran Kumar Reddy states that he agrees with Rama Chandrayya’s letter written to CM. He said increasing power tariff is not the only solution to over come the problems. He said being worked as Power Minister in the past he very well knows there are so many options other than increasing the tariff. Flaying CM’s decision he said “Instead of taking individual decision, he would have called for cabinet meeting to find an amicable solution.” Further he reminds CM that, the Congress party has owed in its 2009 election manifesto that it won’t increase the power tariff in the next five years. DL opines that this would be one of the many reasons that may going to effect the party in the upcoming elections.
However DL Ravindra Reddy has made it a point that, CM takes the cabinet for granted while taking issues like this but summons the cabinet to make it accountable for corrupt cases like Minister Dharmana Prasada rao’s.
