Powerful bomb blast took place at Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal's resort on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Though the blast took place on Friday, for reasons better known to them, police had kept it under wraps for three days and disclosed only on Tuesday. Walls and windows of the resort were damaged in the gelatin stick blast and no one was injured, say the reports.

There was no one in the resort except the watchman, when the bomb exploded. The watchman said he was fast asleep and woke up to a deafening blast. Pro-Telangana pamphlets left behind by the attackers were found strewn at the location. Though it looks like pro-Telangana activists are involved in the blast, Lagadapati says that it could be the handiwork of supporters of YSR Congress Party leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. While Rajagopal is a known supporter of united andhra, lately he started criticising Jagan Mohan Reddy heavily. Police is yet to find out who the real culprits are. On the other hand, YSRCP leaders alleged that Rajagopal himself was behind the blast to eliminate his first wife Padma and demanded a thorough probe into the incident.
