Four days ago, Jagan Mohan Reddy announced that he will not to step into the Assembly until the no confidence notice served against Speaker Dr. Kodela Shivaprasada Rao is accepted for discussion in the house, but he returned to house along with his party MLAs today, although his notice is not taken for discussion by the house.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has stated “No one knows why he boycotts the Assembly and why he comes again.”
Jagan Mohan Reddy replied “I came to Assembly only to question the state government on power tariff hike. Government has increased the power tariff, ignoring the promises made to the people. It increases the power tariff even when the Center is providing 304 mw power to the state at free of cost. We understood that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his government will never lend their ears to opposition party’s suggestions. So, there is no use of giving any suggestions to the CM or to his government. So, we are staging a walk out from the house.”
Then the Assembly Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu addressing the members said, “Jagan Mohan Reddy proves that he is an immature politician. He raised some doubts about increasing the power tariff. But, even before the Chief Minister could answer his questions, he walked out of the house. No one knows why he comes in and why he is going out. He seems is very keen to make some nuisance inside and outside the Assembly. He lacks interest and knowledge on any issue. So he blames us to escape from the house.”
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said “Jagan Mohan Reddy knows nothing about power supply and power tariff. But he tries to project himself as an expert in any subject. Jagan should know that the power supplied by the Center to the state will not come at free of cost. We have to pay Rs.5.00 to 5.50 per unit. But, Jagan is trying to bluff the people with his meaningless arguments.”
