Hyderabad: 28 May 2012 - 12PM: The CBI Special Court at Nampally today granted bail to 11 accused other than YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Vijay Sai Reddy. The court had earlier issued summons to all 13 accused in the Jagan Mohan Reddy's disproportionate assets case to appear before the court today under the 1st chargesheet filed by the CBI in this case.
The CBI had named Jagan as A1 and his charted accountant and Jagathi Publications vice-president Vijay Sai Reddy as A2 along with 11 others. The court granted conditional bail to 11 accused on personal guarantee, while bail pleas of A1 and A2 are still being argued in the court. Aurobindo Pharmacy MD and former APIIC chairman BP Acharya and nine others got bail today.
The CBI has sought the court for the custody of Jagan Mohan Reddy till 30 May, as they have to further elicit information from him in the case. CBI told the court that though Jagan was being questioned for the past three days, he didn't co-operate with the agency. They said, they are yet to extract crucial information from Jagan pertaining to Rs. 300 crores worth investments put up by various persons in his businesses as quid-pro-quo for the benefits they got when late YSR was chief minister. The arguements are still going on and it is to be seen, what the court finally decides.
