The brain storming conference by Congress party held at Hyderabad on Sunday ends with a sour note. The meeting which was intended to chalk out an action plan to prepare the party for the upcoming elections has ended with routine speeches, Congress-mark politics, self boasting and criticizing their rivals, where as it would have utilized this great opportunity to interact with its rural leaders who takes pain to attend the meeting.
However, it seems Chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has realized that the party fails to take all his welfare schemes to public. Hence he declared that from now onwards he will concentrate on boosting the morals of grass routes level party workers by providing them his full support and will try to induct them into nominated posts soon, so as his government will have their support in spreading his welfare schemes to remote areas of the state.
For the first time in party’s history, everyone honestly admits that the rural workers of the party need to be given necessary support in all means. If, the party can sincerely implement this decision, certainly it is going to yield fruits to party in the coming elections. However, Congress party is used to think a lot but always fails implementing its ideas.
This meeting also brings out the bold face of Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. He appears to be developed some courage and strongly voiced about his achievements. He not only boasted about his government but also thrown challenge to his rival parties like MIM, TDP asking them to face the Congress party in the elections if they can.
If one could recall his speech given at Ravindra Bharati few weeks ago, which reflects his sober mood for uncertainty of his CM post, he appears quite confident and bold in this meeting. The way he confidently takes upon his rivals reflects a big change in his attitude. Is it because the party high command backs him in full or did he decide to go ahead in his own style to prove his mettle before its too late? Or else, he plans to overpower PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana with this meeting?
