TDP MLA Chinnam Rama Kotaiah of Nuzvid, who has been keeping every one guessing on his future plans, has ultimately given indication to his joining the Congress. This shock to the TDP comes hardly on the heels of the departure of Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani, who left the party and joined the YSR Congress.
Chinnam Rama Kotaiah has created shock waves some time ago, by announcing that he would not contest on TDP ticket in 2014 even if it was offered to him. It was then said he was likely to join the YSRCP. Chinnam has however met the party chief Chandrababu Naidu later and assured him that he would not leave the party.
After Nani left TDP it was said Chinnam would also follow him into the YSRCP. He has however suddenly appeared before the media with Congress party’s official spokesperson and MLC Paladugu Venkata Rao on Sunday and surprised every one. He told the media that he would vote for UPA’s presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee, stating that was best suited for the post. He said that he had requested Paladugu to give him an opportunity to have a photograph taken with Pranab after his election. Paladugu has said he has written four books and would have them launched by Pranab after his election. He has assured Chinnam that he would be able to meet the President and have a photograph taken with him.
