AP NGOs’ president P.Ashok babu, after discussing with the NGO leaders, said that they will continue the strike until the Center rolls back its decision. We are still quite confident that we can halt the bifurcation process at any stage, may it be in Assembly or in Parliament.
Speaking to media he said “We have agreed to participate in cyclone relief works on humanitarian basis, but still we are on strike. Keeping in view of the children’s education, the problems being faced by the people, Teachers, Electricity and RTC Employees have temporarily called of their strike.”
“CM has assured that he will halt the bifurcation process. But, what if he is removed from his post by his high command? We can’t call off our strike simply relying upon his words. The MPs, Ministers and everyone are playing foul game with us. They could avert this situation by quitting their posts when they came to know about their party’s decision. But, they let their party go ahead with its plans and glued to their posts. Even now, those who are quitting their posts are not doing so with grief but only enable themselves roam freely in their constituencies.”
“We are planning to visit New Delhi and Chennai very soon to seek the support of national party leaders and Tamilnadu CM Kumari Jayalalitha for our fight,” said Ashok babu.
