AP chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy might have deferred Cabinet reshuffle owing to political situation in the state, but a major overhaul of babus seems imminent. According to highly placed sources, at least 20 senior IAS officers including collectors of important districts like Ranga Reddy are likely to be shifted out.
The revamp has been necessitated due to the vacancies caused by the exit and retirement of some officers and also because CM wants a new team to handle the energy and irrigation departments. He also wants to replace some district collectors unhappy as he is with their performance. Hectic parlays are going on internally as shifting of IAS officers should take place before the notifications for the upcoming by-elections is released.
