Finally, the ACB has received the forensic report, the audio and video tapes and a hard disk from the ACB Court on Friday evening, after taking permission from the Central Forensic Science Labs. Hence, it may serve notices to whoever persons are involved in this note-for-vote case, but only if Governor Narasimhan permits it.

 

The future course of action of the ACB may depend on how the Governor drives it, because it can’t be ignored that he is the one who triggered a serious discussion about invoking Section: 8 that entrusts full powers on Law and Order control to him. If, Home Minister Rajnath Singh allows him to invoke Sec: 8 in Hyderabad, it means that he will take control of the ongoing ACB case and the phone tapping case from the AP CID. He may gradually apply breaks to both cases and may shelve them to avoid constitutional crisis.
