Plot:
Set in the temple town of Tirupati, the story follows a carefree young man, Srinu (Jaya Krishna), who falls in love with Manga (Rasha Thadani). However, Manga's father, Peddireddy (Shyam), is a ruthless and dangerous man who controls the area.
Despite Manga rejecting his initial proposal, Srinu stays involved in her life. Things take a turn when his real identity as Vasu Babu is revealed. He must now fight dangerous enemies to protect his love and survive unexpected challenges. Will he be able to find a way? Watch the movie to know more.
Analysis:
Jaya Krishna makes a confident debut as a lead actor. He looks natural on screen and performs well in emotional scenes. Rasha Thadani is good and shares a decent chemistry with him. Mohan Babu and Shyam both deliver strong performances in negative roles, bringing weight to the central conflict.
Director Ajay Bhupathi tries to blend a classic love story with a revenge drama using full commercial elements. The first half is interesting, building good suspense around the heroine's family and the hero's identity. But the problem lies in the second half. It looks like the makers chose a very easy and predictable path to finish the story.
The major drawback is that the storyline feels heavily repeated and lacks fresh ideas. Once the second half begins, the audience can easily guess what will happen next. G.V. Prakash Kumar's background music is solid and elevates many scenes, but the songs are placed poorly and act as speed breakers.
Still, Srinivasa Mangapuram is a decent launchpad for the new actors. On the whole, it is a routine romantic action drama that is passable but not as fresh as one would hope.
