Adith Arun, who recently changed his name to Thrigun and will turn 32 on June 8, 2022, has appeared in 18 films over the course of his 13-year career. He admitted that he changed his name because it no longer reflected how he saw himself.

 

Thrigun made his acting debut in 2009 with the Telugu thriller Katha. A year later, he was cast in Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey with Regina Cassandra. With love and passion, he gave an exclusive interview about his upcoming works. This month, I'll be in town with my film 'Konda.' I'm most excited about the project because it asked a lot of me, and I want to see this surreal film in theatres. The film is directed by Ram Gopal Varma and is based on the life of Warrangal strongman Konda Murali. The film, billed as a biopic, follows Murali's rise from street vendor to respected political leader.

 

After this, Prema Desam will be released, and I am very excited about it because romantic films are my area of expertise, and I had another fantastic working experience with Megha Akash after Dear Megha.

 

"It is a very powerful role, and I had to step out of my comfort zone," he says of the challenge of portraying a real-life character on screen. To get into the character's skin, I had to gain a lot of weight and work hard on my body language and mannerisms. It pushed me as an actor so hard that I feel like a completely different person now." "I have a slew of interesting Telugu films lined up," he says, "like Prema Desam, Lineman, which is bilingual and I'm getting introduced to sandalwood people, Kiraayi, Mr Work from Home, and Ganjaam." The audience will see a completely different side of me."

 

I’ll also soon be launching a production house, apart from debuting in a Kannada film called Lineman. So I have a few new beginnings lined up,” beams the actor.

 

In a career spanning 13 years, the actor has had his share of ups and downs. Ask him what his biggest learning has been and pat comes the answer, “If there’s one thing I’ve learnt from my journey as an actor, it is that nothing has turned out the way I expected it to. There’s been no looking back. Yes, it’s been a challenging journey, but it’s been very fulfilling as well.”
