Congress leaders of Telangana region who submitted en masse resignations in support of formation of separate Telangana, held an extended meet at Karman Ghat in Hyderabad. The meeting was held in a private function hall, which was attended by over 2000 party leaders and activists.
In the meeting, leaders discussed at length about the future strategy to be adopted by them in putting pressure on the central leadership. It was decided that they would respond positively to Mr. Gulam Nabi Azad's invitation to come to Delhi for consultations, only if he withdraws the statement he made from Beijing about formation of Telangana. Another thing the leaders made it clear that, there is no question of taking back their resignations, untill the central government confirms initiating of process to carve out a separate Telangana state.
