Telugu Desam Party is going ahead with its dharna program on 23 April at Vizianagaram Collectorate against liquor syndicates in the district. On the otherhand, Congress party also announced that it would hold counter dharna against TDP on the same day. Apprehending law and order prlblem, the district police authorities have clamped prohibitory orders in Vizianagaram.
In spite of the prohibitory orders in force, TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu's convoy has reached Vizianagaram. The Congress convoy is also proceeding towards the Collectorate. The Collector has given both the parties appointment at different timings to avoid direct confrontation between the parties. The police have also agreed to allow peaceful dharna by both parties as long as law and order situation doesn't get affected.
