SC makes Gavaskar as BCCI President

Little Master Sunil Gavaskar has been given charge of BCCI as its President during IPL-7 series. Supreme Court, which starts the trail of the match fixing cases today has entrusted the top post to Sunil Gavaskar. However, the current vice president of BCCI will act as its president till IPL-7 series commences. Sunil Gavaskar will take charge as BCCI President will decide whether to continue the IPL-7 CEO Sundar Raman.
Gavaskar will handle all the matters and issues related to IPL-7 series as BCCI President, said the apex court. Supreme Court also gave nod for the two tainted teams Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings to play in the IPL-7 series. It also declares that there are no restrictions on any player of any team. However, the apex court rejects current BCCI President N. Srinivasan’s appeal to continue in his post. The court declares the series will commences as per the schedule and there is no change or restrictions on it.
