Center keen to declare Telangana

The Seemandhra leaders’ recent visit to New Delhi, though proved not helpful to them, any way it clears the air about the bifurcation issue. AICC member Vayalar Ravi and State political affairs in-charge Ghulamnabi Azad have made it clear to Minister TG Venkatesh and others about the Congress party intentions in favor Telangana state.

Both the leaders have told them that party high command is well aware of the consequences of declaring Telangana and they are prepared to face it. In a shocking response to Seemandhra leaders, they even welcomed their decision to quit the party, who disagree with party high command decision. The party rather prefers to rely upon those leaders who abide by its decision and even plans to develop new cadre replacing the seniors who quits the party. According to TG Venkatesh, the party strongly believes that even if it keeps the state unite, there is no guarantee for a sweeping victory in the upcoming elections. Hence, it prefers to divide the state and gain maximum mileage out of its decision.

More over, as all the political parties have given their consent for Telangana state formation and also agrees to abide by the Center’s decision during the all party meeting headed by home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Congress believes it is time to make a move in favor of Telangana to resolve the problem for ever, come one agrees for it or not.

Hence, Congress high command has said to be discouraging its Seemandhra leaders from lobbying any further in favor of Samaikyandhra. The final word from Azad is that there will be no more discussion any further in this regard as the matter was already finalized by the party high command.
