JP’s tour is not against anyone: Rajamouli

While entire film industry prefers to sit tight lipped on the bifurcation issue, director Rajamouli has boldly expressed his views on it through his micro blogging site Twitter.

He writes, “I don’t know whether the state will be benefitted or lost with bifurcation. I also do not know whether it occurs now or postponed. But, the hatred and the fights between Telugu people will definitely be a big loss to us and to our state. People should cool their tempers first and be prepared to negotiate with others instead of crossing swords. I know it is not as easy as I said, but it is the only option to resolve our problems. When, no one is ready to take initiative, Loksatta party leader Jayaprakash Narayan has taken initiative to defuse the tensions among the people. But, there is a general belief in the people that his present ‘Telugu Tejam’ tour is against Samaikyandhra agitations. So a section of the people are obstructing his meetings. It is not fair on their part. Earlier, he has conducted seminars in Telangana also during agitations period to defuse the tensions. He wants to bring the people to negotiation table and ensure problems are resolved in a peaceful manner. Hence, people should listen to him instead of simply opposing him.”
