Brisk Polling in final phase 2014 in India

The final phase of voting for the Lok Sabha polls 2014 is happening in brisk pace in the states for Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar. A total of 41 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh (18), West Bengal (17) and Bihar (6) are currently in the poling fray. Over 3 crore voters will be exercising their franchise at 19,881 polling centres to decide the fate of 328 candidates, including 14 women and various political stalwarts Varanasi the current hot bed where BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, AAP’s Arvind Kejirwal and Ajay Rai of Congress witnessed 35% poll percentage till 1 :00 PM. The EC has filed a case against Ajay Rai for wearing the Congress Symbol on his kurta and displaying it at a polling booth. West Bengal saw a 56 % polling and Bihar witnessed a 38 % polling percentage till 1:00 Pm in the afternoon. In the state of Uttar Pradesh 35 % voters exercised their franchise till 1 pm in, where polling is underway for 18 seats to decide the fate of 328 candidates.
