Panchayats Elections schedule announced

State election commission officer Ramakanth Reddy has announced the elections schedule of Panchayats. Election notification will be issued by the district collectors on July 9th. Elections will be held in three stages on 23rd, 27th and on 31st of July.

Filing of nominations -July 9th, scrutiny-14th and withdrawing of nominations on 17th. Polling for the 2,17,578 wards in the 21, 491 Panchayats will be conducted from morning 7am to afternoon 1pm only. Results will be announced soon after the counting completes on the same day. Hence, the election code has come into effect from today itself.
