Mahesh babu eyes film Jolly LLB for remake

Prince Mahesh babu, who is currently working in a film directed by Sukumar, is eying latest released Hindi film Jolly LLB to remake into Telugu. Director of this film Subash Kapoor has confirmed reports that Mahesh babu has contacted them recently for the remake rights of this film and negotiations are on. He is expecting Kollywood and Mollywood also approach them for the remake rights as the film is well connected to the people in the north and running successfully ever since it was released on March 15th. This film is a comedy drama. Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani have played the lead roles in this film.

However, Mahesh may not be able to start this film as he had number of films waiting for him to be completed in this year. He has committed to Sreenu Vaitla’s Aadugu, Puri Jagannath’s Tapori, and Krish’s Shivam movies, which takes at least 3 months each to complete. Hence, it will be difficult for him to start this Jolly LLB remake film, even though he obtains remake rights now.

Mahesh babu’s upcoming movie in Sukumar direction may release in June month. Kriti Sanon is being introduced as heroine with this film. This film is produced by the successful trio- Anil Sunkara, Gopichand and Ram Achanta under their home banner 14 Reels Entertainments banner. According to sources, there was high demand for the distribution rights for this film in the overseas. The film already pockets Rs.4.5 crores by selling distribution rights for Karnataka state.
