Plastic used to build Maharastra roads

Maharashtra is looking to make an eco friendly impact on the roads of the state soon. They will now use plastic waste, along with tar, in an order to not only better durability of asphalt roads, but also lower soil pollution. For every 100Kg of tar, 3-6Kg of plastic will be used. These roads offer improved quality and are also cheaper. Materials such as plastic carry bags, sacks, milk pouches, bin linings, cosmetic and detergent bottles, drinking water bottles, bottle caps, household articles will be used for building the roads.
