The JD (U) president Sharad Yadav also holds a meeting with party MLAs. They have unanimously elected Nitish Kumar as their leader of the house. Later, they passed a resolution expelling their Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi from the party for revolting against the party.

JD (U) leaders will meet the governor tonight and inform him about the election of Nitish Kumar as the party leader of the house and submit letters of MLAs supporting him. Laloo Prasad Yadav’s RJD and the Congress party are also supporting him. Hence, Nitish Kumar may take oath very soon as the Chief Minister of Bihar.
