Harsha Vardhan is BJP’s Delhi CM candidate

There was a dilemma in BJP over naming Narendra Modi its Prime Ministerial candidate, but somehow it boldly announced his name at last. Then there was a dilemma over the CM candidate for Delhi. So far, Vijay Goel remains the front runner for this post. But, after Aravind Kejriwal’s Aam Admi Party also joining the race, BJP has second thoughts over its CM candidate Vijay Goel, who is popularly known as businessman than a party leader.

According to latest survey conducted by ‘Neilson’ though, the electoral chances for BJP are fair, still there is scope for hung Assembly, because of Aam Admi’s entry. So, BJP had a re-look at its CM candidate and changes the name now. The new name is Mr. Harsha Vardhan. BJP Parliamentary Board, the highest governing body of the party has decided this in a meeting held on Wednesday. Party president Rajnath Singh has announced this to media a short while ago in the presence of former and present CM candidates of the party.

Senior leaders of the party L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Ananth Kumar and Delhi Election in-charge Nitin Gadkari have attended this crucial meeting. The Assembly elections for Delhi state will be held on November 4th.
