Governor will have additional powers in joint capital: HM

The tall claims by TRS MPs about Home Minister Rajnath Singh assuring them to revoke according police administrative powers to Governor in common capital Hyderabad seems to misguide the people. Today, they met Home Minister again to appeal him for the same purpose. But, he categorically told them that whatever powers were accorded to Governor under special situation through AP Reorganization Bill-2014 can’t be trimmed or withdrawn by the Centre. He also made them clear that Centre doesn’t want to make any changes in the Bill for this purpose. But, he assured the TRS MPs that Centre will not try to trim the powers of Chief Minister.
