Petrol and diesel cabs banned in Delhi

Even as the Delhi government has been striving hard to curb the pollution in capital city by implementing schemes such as odd-even vehicle policy.. the supreme court also seems to be care to share the issue. In today’s judgment the apex court has ruled out that no cabs run on petrol or diesel can be operated in Delhi. This order came despite the plea by the cab owners that no such technology was available to convert a diesel car into a CNG. The court has even refused to extend the deadline as it was the third time for the court to fix the deadline. However cabs with all India permit are exempted from the order!
