The Congress high command is reportedly considering various options on the Telangana question, former PCC president D Srinivas was summoned to the national capital by the AICC top brass.
The Congress leadership is considering various options including setting up a regional development council for Telangana and announcing a huge financial package for the region.
Some Congress leaders believe that if the high command decides to set up a regional development council for the region, it would opt for either D Srinivas or Sanatnagar MLA Marri Sashidhar Reddy to head it.
Interestingly, Srinivas has been summoned by the high command at a time when PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana is already in Delhi, holding confabulations with the top brass.
Botcha is understood to have been summoned following his row with Union minister Kishore Chandra Deo who reportedly wrote a letter to the high command complaining against him and chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.
