Congress leaders meeting ends with stand-off

As predicted, the meeting between Seemandhra and Telangana Congress leaders concludes without any agreement on bifurcation. Leaders representing Telangana region have insisted their counterparts to obey the CWC decision and to co-operate for creating Telangana state formation.

Seemandhra leaders, who stick to their Samaikyandhra stand, have argued that people of both regions can prosper only by remaining united. They offered to review and rectify the mistakes taken place in implementing Gentlemen Agreement and other agreement made after formation of AP state.

However, T-leaders have said it is too late to talk about those violated agreements. They said if the Seemandhra leaders are willing to co-operate for Telangana state formation, they can proceed ahead with their talks.

Seemandhra leaders also argued in the same lines asking to agree for Samaikyandhra. Hence, the meeting concludes with a stand-off on bifurcation. However, they have unanimously agreed to defend their party Chief Sonia Gandhi from their rival party attacks.

Ganta Srinivasa rao, Erasu Pratap Reddy, MLC Rudraraju Padma Raju, Jana Reddy, Sridhar babu, Basavaraju Saraiah and some others attend this meeting held at Ministers’ quarters, Hyderabad.
