CLP to discuss on decedents issue

Congress legislature party meeting will be held today chaired by Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. PCC president Satyanarayana, who is returning from New Delhi today, after discussing about the decedents issue with party high command, will also join the meeting. Hence, the main agenda of this meeting will be taking action against the 9 MLAs of Jagan group, who voted against the government in the no-confidence motion made by TRS and YSR Congress parties.

However, the state Congress may not be afford to take any serious action against the decedents as it may provoke them to withdraw their support to state government on the next moment it takes any action. At the same time, the ruling Congress government has to wear a bold face by making some sort of announcement against the decedents to defend itself from opposition attacks.

Hence, it may declare forming of a committee to study the issue and give its recommendations, so as it can gain some time to take any action while saving its face from the opposition parties’ attacks. Other wise, it may even declare another date for another such meeting stating the members couldn’t come to consensus on taking action against the 9 MLAs.

However, the main intension of this meeting is to highlight the Congress party’s determination in taking action against the decedents, while taking no action against them.
