YSR Congress party has been accusing that ruling TDP is eliminating those pensioners, who are working for Congress and YSR Congress parties. It also blames TDP government that it is trying to cut-down the pensioners in huge number by linking their accounts with Aadhar cards to reduce financial burden.
However, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has categorically stated that he has no such intentions. He assured that all the eligible will get their pensions and if anyone found their name missing from the lists, they can approach the officials during ‘Janmabhoomi-Mana Vooru’ program that has been launched statewide today. He said according to preliminary reports there are around 45 lakhs eligible pensioners in the state and that number may increase in future. He said, however his government is determined to pay them all irrespective of their parties, casts or religions.
CM Chandrababu Naidu said that his government will reimburse the fees of AP students pursuing higher studies in Telangana state. He said that his government will also reimburse the fees of Telangana students pursuing higher studies in AP in accordance with Presidential Orders and will not take year 1956 to determine nativity of the studnets.
This decision of the state government is a fine testimony for its honesty in implementing various welfare schemes, including pensions.
