Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who already gains full control over his government, is now taking full control over his party also in a very systematic manner. His close aide Amit Shah, who was recently appointed as BJP President has dropped three senior leaders-LK Advani, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Murali Manohar Joshi from the party’s highest decision-making body party parliamentary body yesterday. However, he moves them into newly created ‘Margadashak Mandal’ (party guidance committee) in which Modi and Rajnath Singh are also members.
The new members of the party parliamentary board are: Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Nithin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Venkaiah Naidu, Anant Kumar, Shivraj Singh, JP Nadda, T Gehlot and Ramlal. If seen this new formation, it can be easily understood, there is no place for Modi criticizers in the parliamentary board. Perhaps, no one including Advani and Joshi have ever expected that this generation change in the party takes place within three months of Modi taking charge of the government.
