Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has resigned today after failing to table Janlokpal Bill in Delhi Assembly today. His 49 days honey moon period as Delhi CM comes to end within two months, to be precise in 49 days. Although, the Lt. Governor has rejected his plea for presenting the bill in the house, he tried and failed as the two main opposition parties Congress and BJP have refused to co-operate with him. So, as he said earlier, immediately he sent his resignation letter to Lt. Governor. Najeeb Jung.
Later, Arvind Kejriwal speaking to his followers at his party office in New Delhi “Congress and BJP are afraid to support the bill, because if it is approved many of their leaders including former CM Sheila Dikshit will find themselves behind bars for their involvement in several corrupt cases.
However, Janlokpal bill is just an excuse for Arvind Kejriwal to quit his CM Post. From day one, he is on fight-mode with Congress, which is supporting his government. He preferred to hit the streets rather than running the government. Perhaps, he might have realized that he can’t change the corrupted system of the government that may be tying his hands. So, he may not expect the people of Delhi to vote for him again.
