State government, which is submerged under severe financial crisis due to its inefficiency, is virtually depends on the revenue generated from excise department. As said by Chandrababu Naidu, though the government fails to ensure proper water supplies to people and farmers, it ensures at least one liquor shop or a belt shop run in remotest villages of the state. But, still it believes is not sufficient to run the government.
Hence, it plans to enter liquor business opening government outlets all over the state. It even gave a paper Ad during June last year, but there was no response. Hence, it has opened 18 outlets at its beverage depos six months ago. Recently, the government asks excise department to make necessary arrangements to open 149 wine shops out of 596 that it planned to open across the state in three phases. Excise department has estimated that each wine shop needs one supervisor, one assistant supervisor, and two counter boys. Hence it is going to recruit outsourcing persons very soon.
Hope government will definitely be successful in its new business, though it fails to meet the aspirations of the people.
