At Anna NTR canteen get Idli upma for Rs.5

Anna NTR Canteen was launched by Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu, which is primarily aimed at providing subsidised meal to daily wage workers, small-time employees and poor people in the state. CM inaugurated one such canteen close to the Interim Secretariat Complex in Velagapudi in Guntur district on Saturday and had a taste of the items along with Deputy Chief Minister N. Chinarajappa, Guntur MP Jayadev Galla.

 

He also announced that such canteens would be set up in all 29 villages across Mangalagiri, Tadepalli and Thullur in the coming months. The menu includes Idli, Upma and Pongal, each for Rs 5 a plate during the breakfast. For lunch, they provide Sambar rice for Rs 7.50 per plate and pulihora and curd rice for Rs 6.50 per plate. The dinner menu comprises two chapatis with vegetable curry for Rs 7.50 a plate. This will be run by the Akshaya Patra Charitable Foundation (APCF) of Hare Krishna Movement
