Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has taken a wise decision. He roped-in Metro Rail Expert E. Sreedharan into his upcoming Metro Rail Projects in AP. He convinced him to join the AP Metro Rail team as principal advisor. Sreedharan, the former Delhi Metro Rail Project Chief has proved his mettle by completing the project well before in advance against all odds. Chandrababu believes that his expertise and experience will help the three projects complete smoothly during his present term. State government will pay Rs.1.5 lakhs per month as honorarium for his services.
State government has proposed to start three Metro Rail Projects simultaneously in Vizag, Vijayawada and Tirupati in the state. Already it constituted an expert committee to evaluate the bids filed six companies for submitting feasibility report on these projects. Perhaps, Sreedharan may join the expert committee now. Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to rope-in an expert like Sreedharan, in context of the controversy erupted on Hyderabad Metro Projects, indeed is a wise decision. His presence around may avert many such issues in the upcoming projects.
