Ajmal kasab hanged death: The execution of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack convict Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab in the wee hours on Wednesday by the Maharashtra government has been welcomed by people from different walks of life in Mumbai.
According to reports, Kasab’s execution is the biggest development for Mumbaikars and they now feel that after a delay of four years justice has now been done.
It has been reported that people from different sections of society in the metropolis, especially Muslims iin South Mumbai, have expressed their extreme satisfaction over Kasab’s execution by bursting crackers.
Mumbai‘s famous dabbawallas, who ferry lunch boxes to office-goers from their homes in the country’s commercial capital on every working day, burnt the photographs of Kasab to celebrate the news.
The office goers travelling in Best buses and local trains were seen congratulating each other that the country’s enemy no-1 has been hanged.
Several political parties, Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil and Shiv Sena’s executive president Uddhav Thackeray have all rooted for the early implementation of the Supreme Court’s verdict upholding Kasab’s death sentence.
