Shock over Ex-Cricketer becoming NIFT chief!

Former Indian cricketer Chetan Chauhan was appointed as the chairman of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi. Chauhan, who is the vice-president of Delhi and District Cricket Association and a senior BCCI official, also runs a cricket academy and a printing press. He has also been a BJP MP twice. 

This decision has not gone down too well with people as the NIFT Act 2006 specidies, the chairperson of the Board of Governors is expected to be an eminent "academician, scientist, technologist or professional" and apparently he does not match the qualification.
