Congress fails President rules AP

The Cabinet Committee has competed its meeting and has decided for the President Rule in Andhra Pradesh .Ministers P Chidambaram and Manish Tiwari are going to give a formal announcement shortly. The Congress have failed to choose an interim leader to head the Government till the elections are called for with no worthy person to head the state and the very evident lack of unity among the AP Congress leaders which is a major cause of embarrassment for them.   After a similar situation in 1973 this is the second time in 41 years that this the Presidents’ Rule imposed on the State. A very crucial decision which will have major effects on the future elections and if the Assembly elections are called for earlier Congress has to act fast and start liaisons with the TRS and MIM parties. This is going to be a trying time for the Congress party to pull up its image in the two states and if the Assembly elections are called for earlier they better pull their boots fast.

Will it be President Rule in AP ?

    With the resignation of Chief Minister C Kiran Kumar Reddy , there is havoc in the formation of a new government. Along with Kiran, even the party members are protesting against the bifurcation of AP. It is heard from sources that the high command of the ruling party are planning to postpone the formation of a new government even though there is a majority. Assembly polls in the state is likely to take place along with the Lok Sabha Polls.   In the meanwhile, President's rule is likely to be introduced in the state. It seems like the Union Cabinet will take a decision on this today since Governor ESL Narasimhan has recommended for the central rule. On the other hand, a lot of Congress MLAs and ministers are resigning in a row as a sign of dissatisfaction on the bifurcation of the state. We need to wait for a final decision from the ruling party to understand what is the fate of governance in the state.

Two crucial meetings in progress

  Two crucial meetings are taking place in two political parties in different places. The first one is between Sonia Gandhi and party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh, Home Minister Shinde and Ahmad Patel at New Delhi. According to reports, they have discussed about imposing President’s Rule on the state, as chances for forming government at state are blink. It is learnt that they are convinced to impose President’s Rule on the state. Final decision will be taken in the cabinet meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh tomorrow at his residence.   Currently, TRS president KCR is holding a meeting with his party leaders in his farm house in Medak district. They are discussing about merger/poll alliance with Congress party. Although, KCR is willing for merger, it is reported that majority of the party leaders are opposing any such idea. Party senior leader Harish rao is not even willing for poll alliance with Congress party. So, KCR is taking a final call on his party leaders on this issue.   So, by tomorrow we will be able to know whether President’s Rule is imposed on the state or not. TRS will merge or opt for poll alliance with Congress or completely snap ties with it or not. These two major developments will have chain reactions in state politics.

TG Venkatesh ready to join TDP soon

  TG Venkatesh, who until yesterday was seen in Kiran Reddy’s camp, has deserted him after confirming about his exit from party and post. He also jumped out of Congress, as he believes it a sinking ship. Yesterday, he declared that he is returning to TDP, which he deserted after 2004 elections to join Congress party. However, TDP has not acknowledged his statement. Perhaps, he might be bargaining on party ticket. His returning may strengthen the party in Kurnool, but his arrogant and factionist attitude is definitely lands TDP in big troubles, if admits him. He is threatening to shred blood, if Kurnool is not made new Capital of residuary Andhra Pradesh state. So, inviting such leaders into party is just inviting trouble.

Am I dancing to Sonia Tunes? Asks Kiran

  Kiran Kumar Reddy is conducting series of meetings with different groups as a part of preparations for launching his new political party. Today, he spoke to some youth arrived from different places of 13 Seemandhra districts. After explaining about the problems and consequences of bifurcation, he softly ejected his fury on his high command. He never let his tongue slips against Sonia or Rahul or anyone in his high command. He cautiously chose his words while attacking Sonia Gandhi and Congress party.   Later, he turned his guns upon a media and flayed it for tarnishing his reputation with its false and baseless stories. “Particular media writes that I cling to my post and party following Sonia Gandhi orders. It also writes that Congress is helping me in launching the new party, where as I am the one who is fighting with my party and high command from the day one. If, I want to settle for a comfortable position in the party, I need not to do all this. I can get suitable rewards, if I would have followed high command’s instructions. I am not the one like those ministers, who are queuing-up for CM post. I sacrificed my post and party opposing my party decision. I promise you to continue my fight against bifurcation in the courts. I am planning to launch new party only to safeguard the interests of the people and not for my personal gains,” said Kiran Kumar Reddy.

Congress is unable to form government

  Congress high command couldn’t come to any conclusion on whether to form new government in the state or impose President’s Rule. Actually, it is expected to announce its new CM’s name today, but drops the idea in the last minute. Perhaps, it steps back because it doesn’t have required number of MLAs support to form the government. Since, it couldn’t strike any deal with TRS over merger or poll alliance, it is not sure about its support. So, the only option left for it is imposing President’s Rule on the state. However, it is giving media leaks, stating that it is not interested to form the government as there is hardly two months’ time left for general elections. However, it is trying to buy time by holding meetings with its leaders. Although, all of they are agreed to obey, Congress high command’s orders, it is forced to stay away from power as it lack of sufficient MLAs support. Hence, Chiranjeevi’s dream to sit in the CM Chair becomes a day dream.

Will Yellow change in to tri-color?

    The dust has settled with the T bifurcation and we now we have our politicians running helter- skelter and weighing their options as to which party should they join for sustaining their political careers. Out of the many we have our Tadipatri ex. Congress leader J. C. Diwakar Reddy who has had fallout with the Congress and went on to the extent of calling Madam Sonia as mentally ill- is now busy wooing the TDP! He was shown the door by YSRC party Jagan Mohan Reddy and now he has reached the doors of the Telugu Desam Party.   It’s a known fact that the Paritala family who are long standing TDP loyalists and the JC family have had a long standing bad blood after the murder of Paritala Ravi and him being one of the co-accused which of course was dismissed by the CBI and he was let off. Paritala Sunitha has strongly opposed this move to take JC and his brother along with Payyavula Keshav, MLC Govind Reddy and ex-MP Kaluva Srinivasulu. It has also been told to Mr Naidu by the TDP activists from Tadipatri that the amount of bloodshed that has been spilt by the faction between the JC brothers and TDP party activists is a clear indication that he is not wanted in the TDP. We need to see what call the TDP Supremo would take regarding this.   Another unwanted entrant into the TDP is Mandali Buddha Prasad- who has had a strong legacy of Congress loyalty including his father Mr Mandali Venkata Krishna a Congress MP and leader himself. His home constituency Avanigadda has witnessed a sea change in the political equations and surprisingly he has shifted his loyalty from Congress to TDP. TDP has always enjoyed a strong loyalty by its party workers at the all the cadre levels and with these new faces from outside, has left the party workers disgruntled and apprehensive about the adulteration in the party ethics and code.   As said earlier the political disturbances in the state have seen many long standing loyalists change colours for a prolonged political life. It now remains to see how Mr Naidu will avoid discoloration of his party and hope that desperation doesn’t set in!

Hyderabad –The New Pink City

      Telangana Rashtra Samiti Chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao’s Hyderabad entry after Telangana bifurcation may be delayed by two hours but that hasn’t stopped his supporters from preparing a special ratham or chariot for him to ride till Gun Park, women making special floral bathukammas, poornakumbham by the Telangana Brahmins and horses and camels and bike rallies – a welcome befitting the arrival of a king. The city has suddenly turned so pink with the welcome banners and hoardings all over the place, which might give Hyderabad the title of the next Pink city in India apart from Jaipur. The upcoming rally has left the citizens terrified about the traffic diversions and schools have closed or are closing half day. The utmost fear was in the MMTS stations where even a 15 minute delay in the train arriving had people thinking if the trains were stopped by the TRS party cadres. Thankfully it’s still South Central Railways. Any kind of rallies, walks or yatras are petrifying the people of Andhra Pradesh where an alternate travel mode, to traffic diversions, to how are the children going to reach home safely has become the fear factor for that day. The recent AP High Court's strict directions to remove the illegal Flexi banners has gone to the wind with every signal point and hoarding turning pink for his welcome. Looks like today’s TRS 4 – hour Welcome rally at  4 PM will be the much  hyped rally after bifurcation- something that might even beats Gandhij’s pre independence rallies –only this time it’s for the Telangana Gandhi!

BJP asks TDP spell its mind over poll alliance

  The way Congress swiftly jumps to control the damage to the party in Seemandhra, same way BJP also jumps into action for the same purpose. It sent its senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu to Seemandhra on this mission, who argues on behalf of them in Rajya Sabha during debate on the T-Bill. He already successfully holds few meetings in Vijayawada and trying to convince the people that BJP being opposition party can’t demand for voting on the T-Bill. However, he said it left no stone unturned to safeguard the interests of Seemandhra people. He sharply criticized Congress for playing double game on bifurcation. He also tried to transfer the blame on to Congress.   He spoke wisely asking the people to vote for Narendra Modi and thus elect BJP to reconstruct the state. He promised the people that he will try to bring Narendra Modi to Seemandhra on an election campaign, as if he is granting a favor to the people. Venkaiah Naidu also give a first shot at TDP stating that whether any party come to have poll alliance with BJP or not, BJP cadres should be prepared to make the party win in the upcoming elections. His statement is meant to make TDP spell its stand on poll alliance with BJP. However, TDP President Chandrababu may want to wait for few more days to know the pulse of Seemandhra people over poll alliance with BJP.

Why Cong. so desperate to merge TRS?

  It appears stalemate between Congress and TRS parties over merger issue is still continuing if seen quite opposite statements by their leaders. While, Digvijay Singh says negotiations are over on this particular issue, KCR and his party men says no concrete decision taken. However, one thing become clear that Congress is very desperate to merge TRS and TRS is reluctant for merger.   Both parties have their own reasons. It is evident that Congress, despite giving Telangana state can’t win the elections if TRS stands on opposite side. If it let TRS maintain its present individual status, TRS may jump for BJP, if there is thin difference between UPA and NDA chances for forming Government at Centre. Congress, which is desperate to install Rahul Gandhi in PM Chair after the elections, does not want to take slightest risk. So, it is desperately insisting TRS for merger.   For the same reasons TRS also reluctant for merger. It wants to keep its options open till elections are over. Moreover, TRS alone can form state government in the prevailing situation. If merges with Congress all its leaders including KCR will lose their identity and also has to stand before Sonia and Rahul Gandhi with folded hands begging for party tickets and minister posts for themselves. Even if agrees for poll alliance with it, they have to share power with it. So, in the prevailing situation though they not even want poll alliance with Congress, they may be pursued for it.

Third Front launched

  The efforts for launching an alternative political alliance to UPA and NDA by Left parties finally yield success with formation of Third Front today. Eleven political parties-The four left parties, JD (U), JD(S), ASGP, BJ (D), SP, AIADMK have joined hands to form the Third Front.   Later, CPI-M leader Prakash Karat speaking to media said that Third Front is formed to provide an alternative to BJP and Congress parties which are corrupted. “We will fight out both these parties in the upcoming elections. We oppose Congress because of its corrupt practices and inefficiency. We are opposing BJP for its communal elements. Both these parties are mishandling the country. So, we have united under Third Front to provide a democratic, secular, federal government.”   Bihar CM and RJ (D) leader replaying to a media question said “We will decide our Prime Ministerial candidate after the general elections.”   There are half a dozen aspirants for Prime Minister Post in the Third Front. So, it would be disastrous to think about this point as this stage. Out of the 11 political parties except CPI and CPM all are regional parties. So, these regional parties are quite confident to grab lion share of MP seats in their respective states. If they remain unite even after elections under Third Front umbrella, they may play spoilsport for Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi, who want to become Prime Ministers after the elections.

Rakhi Sawant Is Ready To Marry Rahul Gandhi :

      Controversial actress Rakhi Sawant goes on news for all wrong reasons most of the time. But this time it is quite interesting as she recently made a statement in an interview at Bihar that she is ready to get married to Rahul Gandhi if he also wants to. This statement should remind Rahul that he is growing old !!! In the meanwhile, the actress said that Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is eminent and she wants to see him as the PM of India. She did not leave our Aam Aadmi Arvind Kejriwal as well. Rakhi mentioned that Kejriwal cannot fool the people of Delhi anymore. She added that Kejriwal failed to fulfill his promises and there is no scope for him to become the CM again. The final touch was for Bihar CM Nithish Kumar. Rakhi heaped the Cm with praises !!! Now that is definitely too much to digest. Isn't it ???

Is there political vacuum to launch new party?

  Kiran Kumar Reddy launching new party is evident. His close aide Sabbam Hari has confirmed this news to media on yesterday. The venue and muhurat for launching the party is also revealed. It will be at Rajhamundry on March 2nd. Party and members’ names, flag, logo, manifesto etc. will be made public on the same day. Two days after launching, Kiran and his followers will hold a public meeting at Tirupati. This is the basic information that came to know about this new party.   However, Kiran Kumar Reddy is expected to answer some questions. 1. Why is he launching the party? 2. Why should people vote for him, when he is still loyal to Sonia Gandhi and Congress party? 3. What is his explanation for his ex. colleagues and rivals’ allegations about his co-operation to party high command in dividing the state? 4. How can he assure the people that he will not merge his party with Congress or extend his party support to it after elections? 5. How he will treat his close associates like Erasu, Ganta, TG Venkatesh, JC Diwakar Reddy and others, who are joining rival parties? If, Kiran has satisfactory explanations to all these questions, he may expect support from the people, otherwise it would be rocky journey.

TDP likely to admit JC brothers

  he latest information is TDP president Chandrababu Naidu gave green signal to JC Diwakar and Prabhakar Reddy for joining TDP. Before that he is said to be convinced Paritala Sunitha, who is strongly opposing her rival leader entry into party. However, the actual scene will come clear only after they join the party. JC brothers are asking for Ananthapur Lok Sabha seat and Tadipatri Assembly seats. But, Chandrababu is said to be offered them only one seat from Tadipatri. So, the ball is in JC brothers’ court now. However, they are reported to be keen to join TDP.

A Huge Jolt To Congress

      The demoralized Congress party is already facing a huge setback as BJP enjoys a majority of 119 in the house comprising of 182 members. Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has a good grip on his state Gujarat although he is travelling across the country for election campaign. In the meanwhile, the number of resignations from Congress in the state seems to raising day by day. Two MLAs Chhabilbhai Patel and Prabhubhai Vasava resigned from their post on Monday and submitted their resignation to Speaker Vijubhai Vala. Jasa Barad and Bavku Udhad are two other people who recently quit the Congress party to join BJP. Rajendrasinh Chavda also joined BJP last week. He is the man who won against former minister of state for home Praful Patel in 2012. All those who have resigned are in complete support for Modi now and they mentioned that Modi is the 'only choice' for the country now. They feel only Modi could lead the country in the right way and towards betterment. Following this, Congress tally has now gone down to 51 from the 60 seats it occupied in 2012. It is believed that this number might fall even more as there are a number of Congress members in the verge on resigning to join Modi as the elections are not really far away. Seeing this disastrous condition of the party, the high command has sent general secretary Gurudas Kamat to Gujarat to stop these Congress members from resigning. Seems like the party is in a very bad shape in the state right now.

After AP It Is UP Now - Jayaram Ramesh:

      It seems like the ruling UPA government is too keen on splitting states in India. It could be for a good cause according to the party but it seems like we are simply changing the geographical structure of the country. A lot of people even feel that these tricks are being played in order to gain electoral benefits. In this row, Congress leader and Union Minister Jayaram Ramesh stated in an interview that after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the next state that needs to be split would be Uttar Pradesh.   According to him, there is lack of governance in the state due to it's size. He had reportedly mentioned that a reorganisation committee should look into the process of splitting the state. He feels that the state needs to be split into four smaller states. In this process, Jayaram added that Rahul Gandhi will appoint a new team with young leaders in it. Jayaram mentioned that even he might be History in this new plan. Not to forget, Jayaram Ramesh is one of the closest aide to Rahul Gandhi.

Jagan to return to Telangana soon

  Soon after bifurcation issue to come to an end TDP President Chandra Babu Naidu holds a meeting with his Telangana leaders. He not only expressed full confidence of winning the elections in Telangana but also gave necessary directions to them on how to deal with the prevailing political situation. All the senior leaders like Errabelli, Motkupalli, and Revanth Reddy etc. have attends this meeting and strengthened their party president’s arguments.   Unlike YCP, TDP is actively operating in Telangana region even today. So, their meeting and their hopes can be justified. But, YCP which jumps out of Telangana after CWC decision and changed its stand in favor Samaikyandhra is also ready to return to Telangana.   YCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy holds a meeting with T-leaders today at his party office in Hyderabad. If sources are to be believed, it was decided in the meeting to conduct a huge public meeting at Kammam on March 4th by hi, Then, from March 5th onwards he will conduct Odarpu Yatra in Nalgonda district.   If so, this is first time for him to step into Telangana region after a very long gap of two years. But, will the people of Telangana roll red carpet for him, who strongly opposed Telangana state creation? Let us wait and see.

Can he launch new political party?

  Kiran Kumar Reddy virtually disappeared from media discussion soon after he quits his post and party. However, there is some undercurrent discussion going on about his new political party launching. Today, media is abuzz with the reports about his new party launching within two or three days.   Although, many Seemandhra Congress leaders are keen to join his new party initially, the delay in launching of the party and changed political situation discourage them from boarding his new party. While, former ministers, Ganta, Erasu, TG Venkatesh and some others prefer to join TDP, rest of the leaders, who prefer to cling to Congress party only are aiming their guns at him. Although, he and his followers strongly believe that he earns good reputation with his fight for Samaikyandhra, Congress leaders are sharply criticizing his as betrayer.   So, he has to come-up with a perfect explanation to the allegations made against him by Congress leaders like Chiranjeevi, Ramachandraiah, Botsa, Dokka and may other Congress leaders of keeping them in dark while co-operating for the bifurcation process.   He also has to find a perfect reason for launching his party because it is meaningless to argue now that the new party is launching to keep the state united. However, if Kiran Kumar Reddy wants to continue in politics any further, he has no other option but to launch new party because he can’t afford work under any other party leader because of his ex-status. Otherwise, he has retire from the politics at least for time being.

KCR and Rahul discuss on merger issue

  Rahul Gandhi seems to be holding final round of talks with KCR over merger of TRS with Congress, if not, at least to strike a deal for poll alliance between two parties. Congress party state political in-charge Digvijay Singh has accompanied KCR in this meeting. The meeting is concluded a short while ago. Details of their meeting may come out shortly. Although, Congress is insisting for merger, KCR is opting for poll alliance only, perhaps to keep his options open. If, he merges his party with Congress and if Congress is defeated in the upcoming elections, it will be suicidal for his party.   In case, if ‘Congress merged TRS’ forms the government in Telangana and BJP led NDA comes to power at Centre, BJP government may show discrimination because of Congress factor. So, it will be very difficult to press it for funds or favors for the development of newly formed Telangana state. So, KCR may stress for poll alliance with Congress rather than merging his party with it. Moreover, if KCR merges his party with Congress, He and his leaders will also lose their popularity that they are enjoying now in the region. If, KCR agrees to merge his party with Congress, definitely he will demand for the lion share in party tickets and posts, which may not be acceptable for T-Congress leaders. So, Congress and TRS may opt for poll alliance than merger.
