As expected, YSR Congress party has filed a house motion petition in the high court appealing it to order the AP government to allow its leader Jagan Mohan Reddy to conduct indefinite hunger strike from tomorrow at Ulfa grounds located opposed it to AC College in Guntur. But, the high court rejected its petition today. YSRCP approached the high court after Guntur police denied permission to its deeksha, but in vain.
YSR Congress party leaders are stating that they will go ahead and conduct their deeksha at the same place even though police have denied permission to them. However, Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party senior leaders have put their heads together to find out some alternative solution to this problem. They are aware that if Jagan Mohan Reddy try to sit for deeksha police will foil it immediately by arresting him. Moreover, it would be very risky for them to go ahead after the high court rejected their petition.
Jagan Mohan Reddy expected that he can kick start the agitations for special status with his hunger strike and gain some political mileage out of it. But, his idea boomerangs at him when police denied permission for his deeksha. So, the only way left for him is to shift his deeksha program to an isolated area following the suggestion of Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao.
