YCP plays double game again on capital issue? YSR Congress party seems has no clarity or played over smart on the state capital issue. It has been obstructing the house proceedings since yesterday demanding a debate and voting on the issue. Even today, YCP members have virtually brings the house proceedings to standstill shouting ‘we want justice’ slogans rounding-up the Speaker’s podium. They continue their slogan shouting, while Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is making an official announcement on the state capital in the house.
After, the house resumes proceedings, all the YSR Congress party members were seen participating in the debate. Their leader Jagan Mohan Reddy made a surprising announcement in the house. He said that his party welcomes the state government’s decision to build state capital at Vijayawada! Explaining his party stand he said that, they fought for a debate on the issue but not against state government’s decision. This reveals that YSR Congress party is either has no clarity or played over smart on this issue.
If, YCP is welcoming Vijayawada as state capital, then why did it creates so much nuisance in the house? Probably it played double game with people of Rayalaseema, Andhra and also with the state government.
YCP members have deliberately tried to attract the people of Rayalaseema by shouting ‘we want justice’ slogans in the house and disrupting the house proceedings. Then they took a sharp ‘U’ turn and welcome the state government’s decision after Chief Minister made the announcement in the house on the state capital. YCP did so to safeguard its political interests in Rayalaseema and Andhra regions. Later, it welcomes government’s decision to safeguard its political interests in Andhra region.
It takes sharp ‘U’ turn after CM’s statement after making sure that he and his government will have to carry the whole blame for the decision and no one can blame YCP. Its dual stand reminds the people about its double game played during bifurcation of the state.
People are aware that YCP has picked-up Samaikyandhra agitations only to win the hearts of the people of Seemandhra region and to bag their votes in the general elections, but certainly not to keep the state intact. That’s why people have rejected it in the elections. Now, once again it played the same trick to fool the people of both regions. This reveals that it doesn’t learn any lessons from the past.
