Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was last week called by CBI for questioning in connection with the alleged Obulapuram Mining Company's multi-crore iron ore mining scam. Now the Enforcement Directorate (ED) which had registered a case against him under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) has summoned him. The ED is also probing alleged contravention of foreign exchange rules in his financial transactions and investments, said the sources.
The ED has asked Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, to send an authorised person who has his power of attorney to submit documents and answer questions on his behalf at its headquarters in Delhi on or before November 28. The case was registered after ED conducted a probe to trail the funds pumped by the Kadapa MP and his associates into the companies owned by them
